The construction of the autobox manipulation is the same as for the manual. The lever is still sitting in the same place (there are no paddles at the wheel) and has to be moved as a sequential box. Apparently 80% of the Spyker clientele would prefer an autobox. (I suppose the Asian and Middle Eastern clients would be the main market for this option) |

It's good to see Spyker progressing, for a while I didn't think they'd live to release this car. I like that the side intakes now match the roof more exactly, and if the chassis has been developed to the same degree as the interior it may now work as a car as well as an accessory. I do have one question; why would anyone put an automatic gearbox in a Spyker? You lose that wonderful gear-linkage running through the cockpit. All in all though I'd much rather have one of these than any of the current crop of hyper-cars. |
