Entered for P.J. Jones, Rocky Moran and Mark Dismore, this, the fifth Toyota Eagle GTP Mk III debuted at the 1993 Daytona 24 Hours. Jones grabbed the pole position and set a new lap record during the race, that has not even been approached since. The perfect weekend was concluded with the first Daytona 24 Hours victory for the team. Following the car's contemporary racing career, it joined the collection of Toyota back in Japan. At a very rare outing outside of Japan, it is seen here at the 2007 Goodwood Festival of Speed where fifty years of Toyota Motorsport was celebrated.
