Auctioneer Gooding have announced the first details of the company's Scottsdale Auctions. Due to the current global health situation, the auction will once again follow Gooding's online-only Geared Online principle with the cars available for viewing on appointment in California. One of the early consignments is this one-owner, time-warp Ferrari 275 GTB. It has been consigned by the original owner's family with just over 40,000 miles on the odometer.
If a new Ferrari is more to your taste, here is the latest track-only 488 GT Modificata. It includes all of the attributes of the GTE and GT3 racing versions but without the Balance of Performance mandated restrictions. As a result, the one-make racer will have a twin-turbo V8 that is good for nearly 700 bhp. The 488 GT Modificata will be available for customers to run in the Club Competizione GT series from the 2021 season onwards.
RM Sotheby's have just added this fabulous Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8 to their private sales line-up. It was extensively raced in period with considerable success and has recently benefited from a full restoration at the hands of Swiss specialist Marc de Siebenthal.
Naran Automotive is one of the latest supercar start-ups. The company's first model is this 1,047 bhp Naran. Designed by Wyn Design, it is a front-engined, all-wheel drive four-seater. Its power comes from a twin-turbo V8 that has been developed in Germany by Racing Dynamics. Production of the Naran will be limited to 49 examples.
Audi have added some additional performance to the TTS line up with the new Comptition Plus. The four-cylinder turbo engine is now good for 315 bhp and that power is transferred to all four wheels through a seven-speed automatic gearbox. The Comptition Plus is available as both a Coupe and a Roadster.

With continuation cars or clones or original becoming more frequent, it was great to see this genuine Ferrari 250 GT SWB Comp/61 returning to the track during this year's Dix Mille Tours. The 'SEFAC Hot Rod' was originally run by Scuderia Serenissima for the likes of Graham Hill, Maurice Trintignant and Jo Bonnier. It has had an eventful life but during the mid-2000s, 2845GT was beautifully restored by Ferrari Classiche using its original body.
This Viper GTS-R was painted by Hervé di Rosa with a most suitable art-car livery. It was raced with considerable success by François Lafon and Jean-Pierre Jarier. Still in French hands, C26 was also out at the Dix Mille Tours.
Freshly restored, this ex-Konrad Porsche 911 GT2 was pressed back into action at the Monza Historic in September. It was raced extensively in the ALMS and the FIA GT Championship in period.
Another machine out at Monza that we had not seen before was this Argo JM19B Cosworth. One of four JM19s built in 1987, it was raced mainly in local Swiss championship events but with considerable success. Now in Italian hands, the JM19B has been painted like the JM19 that raced at Le Mans in 1988.

With the Huracán STO, Lamborghini have released the most hardcore road-legal version of the company's 'entry-level' sports car. The STO is short for Super Trofeo Omologato and the car is very much a road legal version of the Super Trofeo competition car. It combines a 630 bhp version of the familiar V10, rear-wheel drive and active rear wheel steering. The Huracán STO is also 43 kg lighter than the already very fast Performante.
Subaru have further refined the rear-wheel drive BRZ sports car. It now features a 2.4-litre version of the naturally aspirated engine, which is good for 228 bhp. The revised interior includes some neat cues like the boxer inspired instrument panel with a big rev counter in the centre.
Jeep already hinted at a V8-engined Wrangler with a concept car a few months ago. The wraps have now been taken off the Wrangler Rubicon 392 production car. It is powered by a 6.4 litre or 392 cubic-inch V8 engine that is good for a startling 470 bhp. The Rubicon 392 will enter production early in 2021.
Following the introduction of the 'regular' S-Class earlier this year, the Mercedes-Maybach version of the '221' series has been introduced this afternoon. Intended for the lucky few that are chauffeur driven, it boasts an even longer wheelbase than the extended Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The ultra-luxurious machine is available with the same range of engines as the normal S-Class.
MINI have offered a glimpse at the future with this Vision Urbanaut. Compared to the current range of MINI models, it promises to offer more interior space and versatility.

Scheduled for December 16, Bonhams' annual London sale will be the last major auction of the year. Among the early consignments is this Bentley R-Type Continental Mulliner Fastback. An early example, it was originally delivered to Switzerland and spent most of its life in North America. Chassis BC22A has been consigned by its long-time British owner to the sale.
Another early highlight is this Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Volante. It is one of just 29 Volantes built with the Vantage engine and has been owned by the same family for 44 years.
With this 330 GTC, the auction also features an interesting Ferrari. Fitted with a freshly rebuilt engine, 09613 should sell for around GBP 500,000.
South Korean company Hyundai offered a glimpse of the future by releasing pictures of a camouflaged Elantra N. The high performance model will be offered for sale in 2021.
Already available is this Audi SQ2. The compact SUV is powered by a 296 bhp version of the familiar direct injection, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Thanks to the potent engine and Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system, the SQ2 can accelerate to 100 km/h in less than five seconds.

The latest addition to the Ferrari line-up is this SF90 Spider. It is exactly what the name suggest; the drop-top version of the hybrid supercar introduced in 2019. Carried over is the same sophisticated 769 bhp drivetrain. What is new is the foldable, aluminium hard-top, which takes up just 100 litres of storage space. The SF90 Spider can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and can lap Fiorano faster than a LaFerrari Aperta.
Milanese carrozzeria Zagato have revived the Iso Rivolta name with this Iso Rivolta GTZ. Limited to just 19 examples, this retro-styled machine is based on Corvette Z06 underpinnings. This ensures that it should go as well as its looks. One of the inspirations for the Rivolta GTZ is the original Iso Grifo A3/C, which also used a small-block Chevrolet engine to great effect. To mark the launch of the new GTZ, we have taken a closer look at an one of the rare original examples. The featured car was raced in period with appearances at Le Mans, the Nürburging and Monza. Quite remarkably, chassis B 0207 has been in the same hands since 1974.
BMW have further expanded their all-electric range with this iX SUV. Although ready to enter production, there are few concrete figures available yet. The drivetrain should be good for around 500 bhp and the range will be around 500 km.

Despite this being a curtailed season, we have been treated to some great events and cars. Today, we take a look at three interesting sports racers that appeared at the handful of events we attended in 2020.
The most striking of the trio is no doubt this IMSA GTP specification Porsche 962. Ordered new by legendary American racer Bob Akin, it was built around one of eight aluminium honeycomb tubs built by specialist Jim Chapman. While run by Bob Akin Motorsport in a couple of events, it was never actually raced by Akin himself. Instead, it was entrusted to the likes of James Weaver, Vern Schuppan and Hurley Haywood. Following its brief contemporary racing career, 962-C04 remained in the United States until it joined the stable of a German racer. He brought the car to the Monza Historic for its first ever appearance on this side of the Atlantic.
The Lola T70 Mk3 that we saw at the Dix Mille Tours and Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort has had a much longer racing career. It was campaigned both as a coupe and later with a BRM V12 as a Group 6 Spyder. Chassis SL73/113 has been restored to its original guise and is now in German hands as well.
Also out at Zandvoort was this Chevron B19, which is one of two ordered new by Denys Dobbie's DART team. It spent most of its subsequent life in the United States until it was brought back to Europe by its current, Belgian owner. He restored 71-5 to its DART colours and configuration.

Volkswagen have released the range-topping version of the eighth generation Golf; the R. It features a 315 bhp version of VW's venerable direct-injection, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. As with the previous model, this power is transferred to the tarmac through all four wheels. New for this model is the torque vectoring system fitted on the rear axle. This should make the Golf R more nimble than before. The chassis was also refined, allowing for a Nürburgring lap time that is a full 19 seconds quicker than that of the seventh generation Golf R.
Sister company Audi continue to roll out all-electric models. The first to receive the RS treatment is this RS e-tron GT, which is currently going through the final phase of testing before it will be officially introduced. No specifics have been released but the RS e-tron GT will be powered by a pair of electric motors.
Earlier this year, Porsche revealed the Turbo version of the 992 generation 911 and now the 911 Turbo Cabriolet has also broken cover. Both versions feature a 572 bhp version of the 3.8-litre turbocharged engine. Helped by the four-wheel drive system, the drop-top 911 Turbo can accelerate to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.

One of the most interesting cars to make its debut during this shortened historic motor racing season is the BR Engineering BR01 Nissan. The LMP2 machine's contemporary racing career spanned less than two seasons and it was eligible to compete in the Asian Le Mans Series until the end of the 2019 season. Funded by Russian billionaire banker Boris Rotenberg, it was designed by Paolo Catone of Peugeot 908 fame. While available to customer's it was ultimately raced only by Rotenberg's SMP Racing team during the 2015 and 2016 seasons. Eight BR01s were built and the featured example is one of three that was not used in period and one of five bought by British specialists BBM Sport. They had the car prepared to race in the Aston Martin Masters Endurance Legends series, which saw Jack Dex dominate with the Nissan-engined car at the recent Historic Grand Prix Zandvoort.
Another racer not used when new is this Lola T286. It was the fourth of four chassis built in 1976 and 1977 but the order was cancelled due to a change in regulations. Chassis HU10 did eventually compete in the 1985 Thundersports championship and has competed in historic racing ever since. Ahead of this season, it was restored to its 1985 colours by Equipe Europe and immediately driven to victory at the Dix Mille Tours.
